“I am not at my best…” I am feeling overloaded, but in the best possible way. Everything is going exceptionally well in every way! I struggle with not posting until I have written the best post, but then life’s speed leaves me with no post at all. Here is a catch up post including a most exciting and important event in my life.

I am engaged to marry Julia!
We are planning these events for approximately the first or second weekends in May, to be held in Victoria, BC.
Julias adventures in Silver
I have never experienced love for some one like I feel for Julia. It is unexplainable. She makes me feel incredible good, and I have the same effect on her. We communicate well with each other, and tackle challenges together. It is wonderful having her here in San Fran with me.
My fellow logical person and Flocker Daryl provides his equally insightful and entertaining perspect on marriage in his post Of Marriage and offers the following sentiment:
while I see mine as a partnership characterized by mutual respect with benefits to both parties. Maybe Im just lucky.
I have moved to San Francisco
After my previous 5 week “vacation” to San Francisco, I went back to Vancouver to be with Julia, to visit our families, and help her with getting our things ready to move. Julia was amazing about getting us moved while I Flocked. She is a Flockstar, and the star of my life!
Julia was not the only one who had an extremely challenging time getting into the USA. Thursday, October 27th, after the moving company picked up our things from Julia’s apartment, I left Vancouver around noon. I drove our car down, crossing at Peace Arch. The lawyers had provided a package to get my TN visa. At first I was told that they were going to reject my application, and without any documented reason that I could take. It was a awful situation. The short of it is, if you don’t have an engineering degree, even if you have software engineering training and experience, enter the USA as a systems analyst, and not an engineer. In the end, I was given my visa. I drove throughout the night, only breaking for a few hours. I was at home by 8:30am on Friday.
Home is 162 Langton Street. My colleagues and now friends, Chris “factoryjoe” Messina, and Andy “termie” Smith live next door at 164. Together it is the langpad!

Hello Lloyd!!
We are very happy that you and Julia are “looking after each other”! We are missing you guys here in ‘ol Victoria… and even though we are happy that you are making wonderful things happen in San Fran, we do secretly wish that you were moving back into our neighbourhood. Maplewood, the Cedar Hill Golf Course, and the dog park are calling for you!!!
We’ll see you in December!
