WordCamp 2007 Videos on UHF

I have had the pleasure of spending some of my time sitting with John “One Man’s Blog, Specialization is for Insects” Pozadzides today. He is the person of the hour, or will be, recording WordCamp 2007.

July 23rd Update: the brilliant Colin Devroe feeling better on day 2 has posted a few videos from WordCamp:

John Pozadzides filming WordCampThe most regular question I have been receiving from people about WordCamp 2007 (who is not here) is, “Will it be recorded?” It is!

Well, John very, very generously is recording WordCamp. It will take some time for him to edit it (integrating some of the slides), so be patient. If you leave a comment on his blog he will let you know when it is cooked.

We shared some laughs about making crack cocaine and a book, Html: Unleashed, that he did not author.

Meeting people like John is why I love an event like this. There are so many other people, but back to the camp for now.

July 23rd Update: At the end of the sessions on Saturday, John and presenter and Google Search Engine voice Matt Cutts had an intense “private” loud discussion about old school paid for links, where it sounded like John was looking for an answer why HTML Help had lost some significant Google juice at one time. My friend Mark Riley seems to have similar feelings to John on this can of worms, particular their conclusions, “Google’s ball park, Google’s rules and the rules are going to apparently hit sites who have these links.”

  1. Lloyd, you are too kind. :-)

I’m very much enjoying the WordCamp experience, and the work I’m doing with the video is nothing compared to the immense number of hours that you and the rest of the team have invested to make WordPress what it is. Cheers!

    John

  2. John, maybe not WordPress, but I have now done some poking around on the interweb and your contribution to our brothers and sisters is equally immense!

It truly was fantastic meeting you, and I look forward to our paths crossing again soon.
