I received Facebook political “spam” from local Victoria Liberal federal party candidate Anne Park Shannon. I replied (she seems nice enough) to find out more information, but never received a response. I had hoped to have a conversation about why unsolicited political emails are a no no on social networking sites.
I don’t like people pushing conversations on me. That’s why I choose to participate on blogs and Facebook.
I wonder if Anne is the one out of touch or whether a member of her staff did it signing it “Sincerely, Anne Park Shannon”.

To which I responded 8:33pm April 25th:
Hello Anne,
How did you determine that I live in Victoria?
Are you aware that sending your unsolicited political message is rude and likely against the rules of FaceBook?
Regards,
Lloyd

Anne is also the only liberal candidate with a website and a facebook who refuses to discose her email address.
Her email address is info@anneparkshannon.com/ I’m posting this so that others who do not want her to collect information without their consent can still have her email.
I’m not surprised that she abuses mail lists and hides her own email. It’s very common for those who abuse to be afraid of retaliation.
