Northern Voice: the annual blogging conference for everyone held in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
It is sold-out, starts tonight with a fantastic feast, and runs through Satursday. Tomorrow is the unconference Moose Camp and Saturday is the “formal presentations“.
One more sleep for me. Julia and I will take the ferry over first thing in the morning.
If you are going to be there and want to talk WordPress — or anything else, even Flock — say hi to me! I bite, but not too hard.
Last year was an amazing event and I am really looking forward to catching up with many people, particular Boris Mann and Scott Beale.
I am particularly excited that the all seasons will be audiocast by Podcast Spot! (So there is no excuse to not participate)

Hey, this is the “wordpress code is messy” guy from the session today. I found your blog and realize that I read it all the time. I will atone for my well-intentioned, but not well-stated characterization by selling WP twice as hard as usual for the next few months
Hi Chris L,
Although comments like yours get me worked up, you saying it is actually a minor detail to me, because of both the amazing presentations you participated in at Moose Camp, and more so, your demonstrated passion, ability, and participation in bringing emerging collaboration technologies to everyone — particularly the current students. You are part of the conversations that really matter! I will continue to try to help WordPress software be an important part of those conversations.
I really appreciate you leaving me a comment. I went to your blog, and also instantly recognized Ruminate. (I think originally I found myself on your blog because of my friend Chris Messina having some conversations with educators like yourself.)
You are likely correct that some WordPress code is ugly (far from poetic), particularly as I hear that a fair amount from numerous people, but help us make it better through bug reports and other participation!
I am sorry we didn’t get a chance to talk. Saturday really flew by. Next time ok?
Hi Christian,
No worries. Time did fly. I had a great time.
Next time,
Lloyd
