Thanks Giving!

I’ve received quite a few thank yous from USA friends today on their Thanksgiving Day1. All of them I return the thanks for the part they play in my happiness and successes!

Every day is an opportunity for thanks giving.

I have a wonderful partner in life, Julia, who is carrying our first baby (due mid-April); supportive family; talented, dedicated, and fun work mates; and amazing friends here in Victoria and around the world!

Thank you!

  1. take lots of pictures of your partner before birth. we had our first baby in july and glad we took before pictures. also take one picture per month after birth and put in a frame so you can see how baby changes. it is amazing! thanks Ted

  2. Congrats Lloyd! I know I agree about the pregnancy photos. Actually, I recommend on a weekly basis starting about week 15 or so! That is really wild if you do all the shots in the same place each week with alternating colors (sorry, the photographer wants out!).

It is pretty wild Lloyd and you will enjoy it all! I have a three year old and my wife and I are trying again for a second! They are way too much fun!

  3. Congratulations! Having kids is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s also the best. A follow-up to Trent’s suggestion for commemorating Julia’s pregnancy is to look into doing a belly cast as she nears the end of her pregnancy. We did this prior to our son’s birth, and though we have yet to polish the thing up (9 months after we did the cast; hey, having kids makes you busy!), we plan eventually to hang it as a piece of art on our bedroom wall.

  4. congratulations. always have the camera ready. be sure to get many pictures. capture your baby’s growth and facial and body changes.cut a little hair too of your newborn baby and put it in a glass frame or a photo frame of scrap book. .. am sure your baby will appreciate it when he grows old.
