I'd like to share my Nokia story. I had a Nokia 5100 series phone. I took it to the Islands of Adventure theme park in Orlando. I had it in my pocket. After riding the "Hulk" coaster (which rocks), I felt for it, and it was missing. I talked to the ride attendants and they said "even if you do find it, it'll be in a million pieces." 5 minutes later, I called it, on a whim. Someone answered, in lost and found! When I got there, they said that it must have fallen out of my pocket as I was walking, because there was a scuff on the back and a small crack on the corner of the battery. They told me exactly where the guest found it and my mouth hung open.

The %^&* thing fell 125 feet onto concrete and didn't even turn off!

I'm just glad it didn't hit anyone in the head.

I too have an old Nokia. I think it's about 3 years old now, though I've only had it for 2 (it was a hand-me-down from an ex). It has clattered onto cement numerous times when I've dropped it from my bike, and I am pretty convinced that I could throw it across the room and it wouldn't miss a beat.

Sometimes people make fun of me (it's not exactly elegant) but I actually think it's more functional than the phones that most of my friends have. It syncs with my computer so I can keep my calendar and my address book on it... and that's more than your average RazR can pull off. I also love the Nokia user interface, and find it infinitely more intuitive than most lame Samsung or Motorola phones.

I'm looking to upgrade to an iPhone at some point (probably another hand-me-down) but I'll hang on to my trusty Nokia for back-up for sure. :)

Don't forget to hang onto that Nokia! (possibly a weird statement coming from a known iPhone fanboy)

Assuming it's a Rogers/Fido GSM device, there may be times when you won't want to take your soon-to-be-new iPhone out (beach, pool, etc) and it's nice to have a trusted solid device you can swap sims into easily.

Nokia definitely knows how to put a phone together. If I hadn't gone to a BB, I'd still be using my 6800.

I've have already used NOKIA for about 8 years and now I'm using ASUS. I'd like to say, that NOKIA is much better phones, than many others. I have the same meaning as you LLOYD, and I'd like to say thank's to NOKIA too.

The first Nokia, I had, was 3210 - a huge and heavy phone, but it was GREAT, like the others models, that I had such as 3510i, 8310, 6310, 6220, N70, N73.
