My Son William John Budd

You may be wondering about the radio silence. Well, it has been for the very best of reasons. My son William John Budd was born one month ago on Monday, April 7 after a long weekend of work for him and his mom Julia.

Life is extraordinary! Every single time I hold William, I marvel that every little part of him is just like us, a bit of us, but in miniature and developing quickly. He is my son.

My life has new meaning!

Lloyd, the neat thing is that it actually gets to be more and more fun as you go along (I can vouch for this for kids up to 4 years old, at least; I hear the teen years can be rough).

Congratulations to you, Julia, and William!

Nice to see the little guy :)

  5. Congratulations to you and Julia! Like Daryl mentioned above, it does get to be more and more fun. My son (also named William – although a shorter version of the name – Liam) certainly, as you put it, gave my life new meaning. He makes me smile every day – and most days he makes me laugh out loud! Enjoy the time cause like every parent says, they grow up so fast! BTW – good looking boy you got there, I guess you have Julia to thank for that eh? ;)

I am glad that after such a long hiatus from blogging that you return to the scene with such wonderful news. Congratulations to you and your wife.

Becoming a parent is one of the most amazing and transformative experiences. You are blessed, in so many ways, but especially in William. He is adorable.
