Migrating North

As Julia wrote we are moving back to Victoria, BC, Canada.

Of course we will be sad to leave, we have made good friends, to name only a couple, we will be very sad to leave our wonderful friends Nicole and Ben (see post below), Cal and Elina, Jesse and Emily, and Rebecca and Japjit. Making friends takes time and I feel that we are just beginning to make those wonderful connections when we are leaving. Nonetheless my barriers are far greater than my opportunities, so we are moving back. The friends we have made will not be forgotten, and I look forward to keeping in touch and visiting them and welcoming them as visitors in Canada.

I share Julia’s sentiments above and in the rest of her post.

It is definitely with mixed emotion that we return to Canada. This year has been the most amazing experience in my career and life — I married Julia this year.

I want to give special thanks to Chris Messina and Andy Smith for letting me stay at their place when I was a stranger, being good friends, mentors, and introducing me to many amazing people!

I will miss greatly my new friends. I look forward to being near my family and spending time with old firends.

  4. Hey Lloyd,

I left the valley last year (working remotely from Parksville now). We should have a beer sometime…

    Cheers,
    Peter

    Peter,
It is great hearing from you! I am sure I will find myself up in Parksville at some point, and would love to each have our own beverage! Let me know if you are going to be in Victoria.

    Killeroid,
No reason to miss me, lets find another project that we are both passionate about — WordPress and Ubuntu come to mind!
