    True that. The Userland experience sounds awful. Problem is, people starting off in a business seldom take all the necessary legal precautions until they get burned first time round. This problem is probably even more widespread on the internet because it’s so easy to start and run a site without any paperwork.

    Yes but there are some deals you don’t get to participate in “documenting.”

    Take a look at your typical one way hosting contract, one way domain name contracts, one way ISP contracts, One way banking contracts.

    It seems like only “little guys” have the right to have agreements that matter with each other anymore.
