Much of his post dilutes the wisdom in the post: most people don’t care about free culture, they want their tools and gadgets to just work. It is not an iPod generation thing like Eric and Chris suggestion, it has long been the case and will likely be the case for generations to come.

It does depends on who your audience is. First world problems?
