I truly was shocked at the 1799 price tag. But than again I forgot it was a macbook and not an ipod. The pricing isn't as shocking if you think of it as a macbook and not a "tweener" device. I would have been sold if it was under $1000 and the screen swiveled like a tablet pc. This would give you a bigger "itouch-like" device. I hope that is next. Also, the flash prices need to come down.

Yea the Air would be sweet if the solid state drive came built in, instead of the super-slow 4200 rpm one. Steve is always trying to set new standards. For that movie on the train, he's trying to get you to either buy it on itunes, or bittorrent it.

The best move Apple made was going over to Intel chips and letting users dual-boot Windows O/S as well as Mac.

Not too sure about the new Macbook Air without a built-in drive. It'll only suit certain users. No watching a DVD on the train!

Daniel, unfortunately, I'm certain that its not a misprint. My co-worker Sam Bauers wrote an interested article MacBook Air, the next Mac Cube?

Dang: http://gizmodo.com/345101/adding-a-64gb-ssd-to-the-macbook-air-1300-extra-please

I like the ultra slim design, but that seems a bit ridiculous to offer a SSD at practically the cost of the computer itself. I truly hope that that is a misprint, because there's no way 64 gigs is worth 1300 bucks.
