Danny & I are planning on going to Piece by Piece opening night — Thursday, probably for the later (9:15pm) showing. Come join us if you two are free that evening. There are several good places for dining in that part of the upper Haight.

Last night I missed checking out dorkbot-sf meetup because I was given tickets yesterday to Gwen Stefani tonight, and Flock owns the rest of my time. I am overwhelmed by how welcoming you and so many others are to us!

If you don’t already have plans tonight, I highly recommend Ben Morgan’s a href=”http://www.google.com/search?q=quality of life film”>Quality of Life, which has been enjoying an extended, but limited, run at a few theaters in SF. Its last scheduled showing is tonight at 9:15pm at the Roxie in the Mission.

Ben Morgan’s a really great guy who I’ve had the wonderful pleasure of meeting. He’s been working with kids in the juvenile justice system for quite some time, and he has a uniquely intelligent perspective on the streetart scene and the way that society handles the situation. He’s been generous in his involvement in discussions and debates on the subject, most recently participating in an SF Commonwealth Club panel discussion, as well as on KQED’s Forum – the podcast for that is still available from KQED, and there’s a streaming version available online as well.

QoL’s run may be extended again, but tonight also might be your last chance to catch it in theaters.

And of course, I will be at the Red Vic for the Piece by Piece showing. Hope to see you there.

In Toronto, there are a number of black and white Val Kilmer faces stuck around town. It cracks me up.
