Pursue your goals while staying true to yourself, is an excellent, simple article on finding your motivation to determine your goals. It is targetted @ woman but applicable to anyone. It does contain one section that is a pet-peeve of mine, “Pick your battles”.

I find too often people as they “mature” choose to fight too few of the battles. “Don’t sweat the small things”, but do fight for what is important to you. The article author’s, Vera Held, advice in this section is also excellent. It is the saying that rubs me wrong.

I have a few more things to do tonight and I am very tired, so enough ranting from me.

Installing gVim on Windows. If gVim on Windows is good enough for Miso, it is good enough for me. The README.txt is actually worth reading! “Open Source is good.” (TM)

hmm… blogger.com “401: java exception error…” on ‘publish’. I was already thinking that I would like a blog that could be installed locally -> Power (TM) ! At this low priority item *beep*

I worked from home today. Feeling mediocre @ best. Have had a persistent headache on and off over the the last few days, and a tickle in my throat.

Feeling edgeless. Worked from home. Wow, busy day. Busy Monday’s are Evil (TM).

hmmm, while accessing my blog, I stumbled across

the Date Project. I don’t feel like reading it right now, sounds kind of interesting. Here is the premise:

One

I will strike up a conversation with three different people I do not know each day.

Two

I will attend activities, events, or other situations where I can meet new people at least twice a week.

Three

I will ask out at least one woman each week.

The author in the little that I have read makes some austute observations. Though, from the little I have read, he only considers woman people ;-)

Now, I am so laughing! I went to http://www.barebones.com/ actually in error, wanting to find the Bare Bones Guide to look up some HTML syntax. Instead I found “BBEdit 6.5 It doesn’t suck.™”. Surely, they jest!

There is such great irony in the world.

hmm, challenges:

what is foolswisdom and what is fool’s foolswisdom ;-)

I teasingly put “(TM)” after many expressions. This has become a popular practise by netizens. Intellectual Property (IP) is a real dillema for me. Being idealistic, I wish that I could assume that by ensuring good intent, that I would protect myself well, and everyone else. I find myself fairly successful in respecting other people’s IP. Any way, I am going to have to learn more about IP to protect my IP as desired, and attempt to ensure that I do not violate anyone elses. I genuinely plan to protect the gURLinka trademark… if that is even within my rites… o’ the tangled webs we weave.
